@ Maggie Copping - Quote: Document Control is an integral part of several categories listed even though it is not explicitly mentioned.

Can you list here please the categories where you ( and one or more colleagues ) think that DC is practiced in?

Thanks,
Johan

@ James McNeill, Maggie Copping _ Follow up on your categories.

Question please if I may here.

Which of the sectors of interest to The IET match your categories please? The sectors are as noted from the home page of the IET website.
Can you list them here including any specifics you may have?

Thanks and regards.

HVET 2014: High Voltage Engineering and Testing course
13 - 15 October 2014. University of Manchester, UK

Don’t miss this opportunity to attend the only training course in the UK dedicated

exclusively to High Voltage Engineering and Testing.

Draw on the expertise of tutors from key organisations including Alstom Grid, Allied

Insulators Group Ltd, EA Technology, KEMA, Kinectrics International Europe, Narec, National

Grid and the Universities of Manchester and Northumbria.

With a great focus on the basics of high voltage power systems, their individual components

and fundamental aspects of high voltage testing and test techniques, you will finish the

course more confident in your knowledge and able to put your learning into practice when you

return to work.

Course topics include
High voltage systems: cables, overhead power lines and switchgear
High voltage equipment
The role of testing and HV testing techniques
Asset management *new*
Standards and measurements
Novel HV materials *new*
Technologies and applications

Remark:
Noted for your CPD registration that this course is estimated at 18 hours for your record

entry in the software programme package CareerManager v3.

DC involvement - This reminds me of my work done for NKTcables on the TenneT project in the period 2011 / 2012, reference: http://www.randstad380kv.nl/ and http://www.nktcables.com/

I wonder what the deliverables will be now as a result of this course produced by the creators and disciplines in the project organisation / company.

Thanks Johan for your question.
I have discussed this wth the conference chair James McNeill who responded "iPeople may have differing experiences of what Document Management actually is in relation to Asset Management Planning, Support, Operation, Performance evaluation, Improvement etc. It would make an interesting paper for someone to offer guidance or a case study in this area."
Any takers out there?”
