The Southern California Network of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET SoCal Network) volunteer committee organizes an annual program of 10 or so technical lectures, meetings, tours, and events that are open to IET members and non-members alike, usually for free or at nominal cost.

An earlier Event - Edwards AFB  and Air Force Flight Test (AFFT) Museum Tour

April 24th, 2015 - 5 hour tour of Air Force Flight Test Museum and Edwards Air Base - the largest USAF Test Center in Western USA.

The Air Force Test Center (AFTC) is a development and test organization of the United States Air Force. It conducts research, development, test, and evaluation of aerospace systems from concept to deployment. It has test flown every aircraft in the Air Force's inventory since World War II. The center employs nearly 13,000 people and controls the second largest base in the US Air Force.

More Information

The Network organises technical lectures, visits and other events in and around Southern California, with most of our members living in Los Angeles, San Diego and Orange Counties. All are welcome to attend events, including non-IET members, as well as friends and family.  We also aim to provide opportunities for the sharing and exchange of information.
