Mentorship Programme with
The Department of Electrical Engineering of
The Hong Kong Polytechnic University

The Institute of Engineering and Technology Hong Kong (IET HK) have been establishing a Mentorship Programme recently for the Department of Electrical Engineering of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University students.

In this regard, we are now recruiting members to be the mentors for on the electrical engineering projects this year.  As a mentor,

  1.  Your role is to take care of 2-3 mentees through a variety of activities such as visits, experience sharing sessions, etc.
  1. You are also requested to meet the students minimal 4 times during the mentorship programme.
  2. You will need to provide electrical engineering advice (as well as environmental issues) and supervise them in industrial practice to final year projects and feedback to their tutors on the performance of the project.
  3. You will also require to share with them the challenging work and activities that they may encounter in future; you can also provide them with advice in their career development.

These young people are likely to be our IET student members.  This is a support of community services and demonstration of our members’ professionalism and commitment!  The first meeting for the mentors and mentees to meet up is tentatively set on 1st June.  Both MIET and TMIET are welcome.  Interested members please send email to admin@theiet.org.hk with Subject: Mentorship.  IET is looking forward to seeing your action to sustain the prosperity of our future generation!!
