Hopefully over the years you will have been to some IET events in your local area. These events are only possible due to the hard work of dedicated volunteers – but now they need your help. Will you step up?

22/04/14 - PLEASE NOTE - Registration is currently full for the Movement of Nuclear Fuel event at Bridgwater on 29/04/14. No further registrations will be taken for this event. Thank you to all that have shown an interest.





18/03/2014 - REGISTER NOW for our Young Professionals: Engineering Question Time event on 25/03/14. The topic under discussion will be 'UK's future energy generation solutions'. Refreshments will be made available.

11/02/2014 - We were delighted to welcome so many members to our recent lecture on the 'Great western mainline modernisation'. 11/12/13 - This year's family lecture, 'Talking in space', was held on 3/12/13. The event was well attended and we would like to extend our thanks to Professor Watson for delivering the lecture. IET release free knowledge pack for all members

The IET are offering all their members a free knowledge pack every year which will enable you to download journals, conference articles and eBook chapters at no cost.
The pack will incorporate a collection of five credits which will allow five free downloads from over 400 eBooks, over 1,300 conference publications and over 70,000 journal articles. Don’t just limit yourself to the five downloads however, by purchasing an extra pack for only £30 you will be entitled to another 25 downloads working out at just over £1 per transaction! For non-members we have a set price at £75 which will grant access to 10 downloads.

To download an article simply logon to the IET’s digital library using your login details here

Browse the vast collection of electronic literature readily available at your fingertips and click on ‘Use Knowledge Pack’ to confirm the use of the credit. Do remember though, our credits only last 12 months so make sure you spend them wisely before they get reset next year!
