Byte Night Sleep Out 2014

Knowing how generous this community has been in past I wanted to ask for your support as I along with 4 colleagues from Cisco, 90 IT professionals from Belfast and 1638 IT professional from across UKI will be sleeping out under the stars at Byte Night on Friday the 3rd October 2014 to help raise money for Action for Children and raise awareness of youth homelessness.

By giving up my bed for one night I’ll be helping young people like Hollie. Hollie suffered physical and emotional abuse from her mum and was eventually thrown out of the house at 17, leaving her with nowhere to go. In desperation, she began living in a tent with her boyfriend until, after two months, she found help at Action for Children’s New Horizons project.

New Horizons provided Hollie with supported accommodation and helped her through emotional support and practical assistance. It also provided advice on securing and maintaining a tenancy, allowing Hollie to concentrate on building herself a brighter future.

In 2 weeks’ time, I will be saying goodbye to my loved ones, and giving up my home comforts to spend the evening sleeping rough, and you can help young people like Hollie by sponsoring me to do so. I need to raise £500 and am hoping YOU could be one of 100 people who would sponsor me JUST £5 for my sleep out. All I need is 100 people to sponsor me £5 each. I hope you can help and please also make sure to select the GiftAid box.

You can donate securely at: https://www.justgiving.com/phanna/

Thank you for taking the time to read this and for donating if you have, and here’s Hollie to tell you the rest of her story…

Many thanks for your support and its not to late to sign up if you fancy joining me. Just give me a call.
