Want to get involved and volunteer?
Helping in these areas would be an excellent way of extending your network of contacts within the professional engineering arena, or simply expanding your personal horizons.
IET members, men and women, of all ages and grades are welcome. We always encourage new volunteers to refresh our Network and the widest possible range of people will help us to maximise our relevance in New Zealand. We are looking especially for Young Professionals to join the committee but all are welcome.
Email us now at firstname.lastname@example.org
without any obligation telling us where your interest lies. If you wish to discuss matters on the phone, please email your telephone number and a preferred date/time to talk.
Thanks, and I hope you’ll consider joining us as active volunteers. You will be surprised how the amount of effort you put into helping the IET is returned, magnified in a variety of other life enhancing ways.

Our thanks go out to John Sinclair and all our members and non-members who attended our 2013 Prestige Lecture. We were treated to a great presentation on Smart Grids and 'The Trilema' facing the UK of meeting environmental targets, ageing assets and an ageing workforce. The IET definitely has a role part in this. Analogies between the UK and the situation here in NZ were made, which provoked many interesting conversations between attendees after the event.
The presentation slides can be found in the Files section.
