Expanded CPD Events Programme for WA Members
During 2014 your WA Network Committee, in collaboration with EA, IEEE and IICA, will be sponsoring an expanded Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programme of events to complement our existing monthly Joint Electrical and Electronic Programme (JEEP) events.
These new monthly events will provide you with even more opportunities for networking and learning across a wide range of disciplines with a larger variety of topics! These will include technical presentations, visits and discussions.
So from February to November you will now be invited to attend the following range of events which will normally be held at Engineers Australia, Murray Street, West Perth, all start at 5.30pm.
1st Monday of the Month – Joint IET Software Engineering Forum
2nd Wednesday of the Month – Joint IET JEEP presentations
4th Thursday of the Month - Joint IET instrumentation, control and automation presentations
Please look out for the detailed announcements of each event which will appear on the WA My Community website and if you have registered to receive emails from your local network in MyIET on the IET website then you should also receive the details by email.
If you work in the North of the State the WA Network Subcommittee, centred in Port Hedland, will also be holding a growing range of CPD events, which will also be published on the WA My Community website and email broadcasts.
We hope that IET members will take advantage of these CPD activities which are also aimed at attracting non-members to participate to show them the high level of professional support and development offered to IET Members.
We provide refreshments after each of our events so that attendees can network, continue to discuss relevant topics of interest and hopefully make new friends and/or business / professional contacts.
Derek Boardman; your Chairman.
